MiM - Matter in Motion

Description

MiM (Matter in Motion) is a team communications platform built on the open Matrix protocol and certified by the Portuguese National Security Authority (GNS). Available on Android, iOS and Web, MiM delivers end-to-end encrypted messaging, voice and video calls, and file sharing, with the ability to store all data on self-hosted infrastructure, entirely under your control. Designed for regulated sectors including healthcare, public administration and cybersecurity operations, MiM integrates natively with identity management (Keycloak) and threat intelligence (MISP) with single sign-on, making it the trusted choice for organizations that demand security, compliance and digital sovereignty without compromise.

MiM holds a Certificate of Conformity issued by the Portuguese National Security Authority, certifying that the application meets the Portuguese security requirements defined for mobile applications processing classified information at the National Restricted classification level. Issued on January 2026 and valid for 24 months, the certificate confirms the platform's eligibility for the handling and transmission of classified information at that level, provided it operates within a trusted execution environment, with multi-factor authentication, centralized user management, dedicated and up-to-date devices, and, in its web variant, with mutual TLS authentication, a dedicated VPN connection and full disk encryption.

MiM can be deployed entirely on the customer's own infrastructure (self-hosted), ensuring complete sovereignty over data and communications with no external dependencies. For organizations that prefer a managed approach without the overhead of in-house hosting, MiM is also available hosted on Hetzner Cloud, a European provider headquartered in Germany, ensuring that all data remains within European jurisdiction and fully compliant with GDPR and applicable national regulations.
