Description
KeypMe (https://keypme.com) is the Google|Apple pay of authentication smartcard. It is a standard passwordless solution that uses your phone as a smartcard.
This means that you can use your phone to access secure systems and services that would normally require a physical smartcard.
After connecting your phone to your computer either through BLE, NFC or Internet; your computer sees a fully compatible smartcard. All smartcard use cases can be fulfill with KeypMe:
- user authentication
- document digital signature
- S/MIME email digital signature
- file encryption
- VPN access
- Physical access.
KeypMe leverages smartphone capabilities such as biometric sensors and Secure Element to store cryptographic keys. A HSM can also be used when it is preferred that employee private keys are not stored on their phones.
In addition to support virtual smartcard, KeypMe supports FIDO2 Passkey that makes it a complete standard passwordless authenticator.
No need of any hardware such as physical smartcard would require. It also integrates seamlessly in IT infrastructures such as Active Directory that have supported smartcards for decades.
KeypMe in addition to its mobile-based solution also exists in computer-based virtual smartcard leveraging computer TPM but can also connect to external HSM.
